Bulgarian Orthodox Baptism

Here's the church I got baptized in. It is in Kardjali, Bulgaria.

Here's some of the guests. From left: Djado, Kalinka, cousin of djado, Baba, cousin of djado, Tati, Auntie Jofka (my Bulgarian godmother).

Here's me, the guests and the priest (called 'powp' in Bulgarian) as the ceremony was starting.

In part of the ceremony, the priest touched me with a leafy branch.


Then the priest had to put water on my head and on my feet. I was not happy about the water on my feet.


At the end the priest and this helper woman, me and my Bulgarian godmother walked around the center table.
