At the Park with Oliver, Part 2: The slide

The slide is a really fun part of the park experience. My mom and I went down it together AND Oliver and I played on it trying to climb up it (fyi, it is surprisingly hard to climb UP the slide).

At the Park with Oliver, Part 1

Oliver and I went to this park yesterday called 'Joaquin Miller Park' with our moms. It was really fun. We had fun chasing each other around and swing on the swings. Here are some shots of Oliver.

When not poking around in the dirt with them, Oliver likes to chew on sticks.  I think this is really cool.

Oliver is playing with these bars. It looks a little bit like he is in jail (don't worry, he's not).

Front Door

Lunch with the Flipper's Buddies

I go to lunch with Oliver and Ellis at Flipper's Burgers most weeks. It is really fun to hang out with them.

Helping Out

I like to help out around the house. Here's me working in the bathroom. One thing that really helps my mom is that I like to hang out with her in the bathroom while she showers. I think that that helps her take more efficient showers.

Grandparents

Just wanted to publish a post for my grandparents. My Bulgarian baba and djado just flew back to Bulgaria after 3.5 fun months in Oakland. I was very sad to see them go and I miss them a lot. My Mimi (my other grandma) is also a big favorite of mine and she is off to Europe tomorrow. I miss seeing her and hope that she will visit when she comes back. She also has an owie in her knee and we think about her a lot and hope she gets better soon.

Hanging out with Dad

One of my favorite things to do is to sit on the front steps and wave at the cars going by. In these pics dad is helping me wave (actually in these pics only dad is waving).

We went on a picnic in the Wine Country (in St. Helena) at a winery called V. Sattui. It was very nice. They had a barbeque for Mother's Day. I had fun crawling around in the grass and soaking up good baba and djado attention (they are now back in Bulgaria). My family thinks it is funny that I seem to call everyone 'baba' (grandma), even mama, tati and djado.

I went on a picnic with the family and had fun with djado. Here he is holding me and pointing (I love it when people point--it is very fun).

Crazy Alligator at the Zoo

There is this exhibit at the Oakland Zoo where you can get really close to an alligator. We were right on the other side of the glass from it.

I was in the car for a while this weekend and had a very good time playing with this large plastic bottle. I was practically climbing on it with my feet!

Very First Bath

My mom found this video of dad giving me my very first bath at the hospital. My friend (and godmother) Kathleen recorded the video by accident.

Organizing the Family's Shoes

I spent the afternoon organizing my family's shoes. For some reason, my mom and dad stash them in the cupboard behind me, but I think that on the front step is a much more convenient place for them. I also think the mail should be stashed here.

The wildest thing

We saw this crazy sight when we were in SF. Yes, there is a cat with a rat on its back riding on the back of a dog. Not sure why, but they all looked relaxed and happy. Only in SF...

San Francisco here we come!

Mom and I went to SF today to see some friends from mom's old work.  Here's a picture of us.

One of the most exciting things about the trip was seeing lots of birds (otherwise known as 'pwah'). I clapped with glee at seeing so many birds in one place.

The day was long and tiring. Here's a pic of my feet while I take a nap.

Lelja's Playroom

My aunt generously made me a playroom in the upstairs room in her house. It is very fun. I have a bunch of toys, a big room to crawl around in (including a former wet bar that I'm not supposed to go into) and a big window to the outside. Through the window I can watch my birds and in the room I can play with all sorts of toys and people. Very fun for me.
